Potato Free Mash

My version of mash not only tastes amazing it also offers you a balance of protein, carbs and healthy fats. It goes particularly well with grilled fish.


  • 1 1/2 cups peas
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 small avocado
  • sea salt and pepper


  • Place cauliflower in a steamer and cook until soft enough to be mashed 
  • In a separate saucepan add 2 cups of water and peas, bring to boil and cook peas until soft and tender
  • Drain peas and place in a large bowl, add cooked cauliflower and diced avocado, mash until ingredients combine well but not completely lump free. texture adds to the meal
  • Season with salt and pepper and serve
