Quinoa Coconut Porridge

This easy to make quinoa breakfast is the perfect winter go to. Packed with protein andcoconut fats, this quinoa alternitive will keep you powering throughout the morning. 
Servings 1


  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup quinoa flakes
  • 1 cup water
  • 20-30 grams vanilla protein powder
  • 1 diced pear
  • cinnamon
  • coconut cream/ coconut yogurt
  • coconut flakes


  • Add quinoa flakes and water to a small saucepan, bring to boil
  • Add pear, protein powder and dash of cinnamon
  • Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Serve topped with coconut flakes and a little coconut cream/ coconut yogurt 
  • Variations...
  • You may replace pear with apple, berries or your choice of  seasonal fruit
  • A mixture of seeds and nuts may replace or accompany the coconut flakes
